[RESOLVED] Problems Playing DVDs on Your Dell System - Fix Here
Getting these errors ??
WMP10 :
C00D1163: A problem occurred with digital copyright protection
WMC :
Cannot Play DVD
The DVD may be in use by another application. If all other
applications are closed, the display resolution may need to be
lowered or the display connection type may not support
playback of the DVD. For more information, please go to Help.
Cineplayer :
Nothing happens at all / no messages nothing.
Well here is the workaround

Needless to say I spent about half the day trying to resolve this issue before going to Dell forums and finding this.

I liked this comment
shifting the date back is a dodgy solution something I would have done with software on Windows 95

I see that Dell is like my old Compaq was.
A teaching tool.
You hace to learn even while it is jamming it down your throat.

Of course there's always a downside to work arounds.
I foudn out lat night that changing my system date back and forward had casued my Norton AntVirus Subscription to expire early.
Had to go http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...1?OpenDocument
