Windows Updates Website - Can I choose not to get IE7?
After visiting and seeing the many new updates for this month on the windows update website, the last update is IE7. With the recent issues, is there a way to pick and choose which of the updates you want and don't want to install? If so, how?
Thanks!

Don't have the auto install enabled. Just choose the 'notify, but don'r install' option(custom). When you go to the dn/load site and it loads all the ones it 'thinks' you need. Click the plus next to the IE7 one(and any others you may want to cancel) and there should be a 'remove' button to click. Don't remember for sure, but there may be the option to 'never show again' there also...
Stupid question? No such thing!

Even if you have Windows set to automatically download and install everything, you still won't be forced to use IE7. It brings up its own confirmation dialog which gives you the choice to install now, ask later, or not install.
