    Thank you Crimson....I checked the settings in the appearances & themes area...didn't see anything there...all of my graphics software is working properly...I think...hmmm...it is probably some little setting that I don't know about....perhaps someone else will have a suggestion.....

    The tiled picture is very pretty as it is....getting the animation working will really be cool....

    Some experimenting here....I can set the picture as a full sized picture and the animation works, but it's when I tile the picture that the animation doesn't work.
    I had to 'save picture as'...then set as background from there to get animation to work....curious....

    Hooray....success....animation is working.

    I don't really know what I did....I went back to appearances & themes area...re-set to 'center'...and animation started working...then set to 'tile'...and animation kept working...!!

    Crimson...my daughter is gonna love this....a thousand thanks you's.....
