Computer Restarts Randomly
I have Windows XP Home Edition. I'm thinking it's doing this because the cpu is overheating. Here's the Everest Report:
--------[ Sensor ]------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sensor Properties:
Sensor Type Winbond W83627THF (ISA 290h)
Chassis Intrusion Detected No
Temperatures:
Motherboard 41 °C (106 °F)
CPU 55 °C (131 °F)
Aux 41 °C (106 °F)
Maxtor 6Y160P0 [ TRIAL VERSION ]
Cooling Fans:
CPU 1654 RPM
Chassis 2109 RPM
Power Supply 1339 RPM
Voltage Values:
CPU Core 1.37 V
Aux 3.18 V
+3.3 V 3.39 V
+5 V 5.13 V
+5 V Standby 5.11 V
VBAT Battery 3.09 V
Debug Info F 66 50 7E
Debug Info T 41 55 41
Debug Info V 8B C7 D4 BF FF 06 B5 (03)
Debug Info I 90 8284
Are these temperatures normal? If not, what should I do? I ran virus scans and spyware scans and nothing shows up.
Thanks.

Well, the CPU temp isn't that high, but the fan RPM isn't too clever, the CPU temp isn't really gonna be doing much at just over 1600RPM, same with the PSU.
What program did you get these readings from? If it wasn't Everest, then try it (It's in my sig) and post back with full PSU voltages.

My CPU fan using AMD "Cool & Quiet" runs considerblay slower than that (it is currently showing 1298 RPM), so I really don't think there is too much to worry about.
What CPU is it? 55C is OK, but nopt a great temp, particularly if the processor is idling.
Nick.

It's a Sony Vaio Intel Pentium IV 3.0 GHz. And right now, my suspicion is that the power is getting get off because of the heat wave in the Midwest. I'll see if this persists and post my feedback.
