Yet another Win 95 issue~sorry ;(
As I mentioned in my other post regarding spyware I'm also attempting to download the free version of the AVG Anti-Virus software and have run into a problem. Surprise Surprise.
It took forever to download the new version (almost 3 hours) then told me I also needed to download the Microsoft patch regarding .com issues. I went back online and did that. When I tried to install the MS patch it said three files needed to be unzipped...I clicked "unzip" and it said it had unzipped the files.
I went back to re-install AVG, but it's still telling me I need to download that same patch...
Can anyone tell me what has happened?
Thanks for ALL your help.

Where were the files that were unzipped supposed to be placed? (In "c:\windows", "c:\windows\system" ...?) Did you place them there?

Do you still have the URL (link) to the site where you downloaded the above patch?
