    Computer 1 -> Computer 2

    If I were transferring songs, from iTunes, over from my old computer, (Which has spyware, and possibly some viruses) to my new one, is there any risk of the virus being transfered? I'm just very precautious about this computer, sorry if this is a dumb question.

    well to my knowledge that would only happen if the song files had viruses and spyware them selves. and i doubt this very much. to help you could scan all the files you want to move with spyware and anti virus software to minimise the risk even further.

    Gamer65:

    iTunes downloads should be nice and clean, have never (shouldn't say that!) heard of problems. But, if you grabbed some music through p2p I would scan those.
    Good luck and please post back with results!

    Proper MP3 files, or any other audio format, should be perfectly safe as they are not executable files. But what I would do, just to be absolutely certain, is to burn the files to CDR or DVDR, then give them a good scan with your AV program before putting them on the new PC.
