    Antenna Position for Linksys WRT54G

I have the Linksys Router in the basment and find that the signal is very weak just one flight up. Is there a way to position the two antenna on this device so as to increase the signal where I need it?

    Thanks for any input.

Experimenting is the best way. Avoid large blocks of concrete or metal. Also avoid microwaves and other devices that could introduce RF interference. Sometimes you'll get reflections and bouncing... so you're signal isn't being blocked, just scrambled. This is what is happening if moving it seems to have odd effects.

They also make signal boosters if you want to cover a larger area.
