use IRDA usb adapter to all control of PC by universal remote
is there any software that allows me to use a USB to IRDA adapter (such as http://www.newegg.com/product/Produc...ternal+Adapter)
to allow a universal remote to control my computer?
I was thinking that maybe I could use software that is suppost to be for other remotes, maybe that could work... cause I couldn't really find any universal software anywhere...

If I'm understanding correctly what you want to do, then the easy way would be to install Windows Media Center Edition and the Microsoft Remote control. As long as your hardware is up to date enough for MCE anyway.

yeah, but that would be the expensive way...
I would much rather, use my own remote and a cheapo IRDA adapter and have simular results
besides, the machine I want to do this on is a 366mhz
