How can I save a stream video in My Video File?

One thing you should be aware and careful of before you record any streaming media is that often the reason it's streamed is to stop people from keeping a copy on their hard drives for copyright reasons. If you've checked on the originating website that they allow it and if necessary asked them/the webmaster for permission then there are a number of programs available that can do the job.

WMrecorder is one I've seen and used and it works well for the type of media it's designed to capture. Note that there are basically two types of media.. windows (asf, wmv etc) and Real (rm, ram etc) and not all recorders can capture both types. (there's also Apple/quicktime but it's not as common)
