    Video playing problems

Hey guys I need your help for a very long time i have had this problem with playing video files on my computer. It primatley happen with AVI. files but it happens with other file types as well. Also I find it happens mostly with files that are animated shows like Teen Titans, Justice League, Drawn together etc. but it's happend with others. Basically what happens is that my computer will just automaticly restart or just completely freeze. a lot of the time thought it was my codec's because there are times when I would un-install and re-install all or most of them and it would go away for a while but it would always come back. Very rarely i'll get somehting simliar like this but
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    ***Stop: 0x00000050, 0xA5A5A5A80, 0x00000000, 0x8050f086, 0x0000002

but pretty much that's rare and it's just freezeing or restarting can anyone help me?
