PowerBook G3 Prismo hdd switch and install Q..

I just got a G3 Prismo with 2 USB and 2 firewire ports and it's working just fine with OSX Panther but it has a small 5+ gb drive.

I also have a G3 Wallstreet with OS 8.5 that I've just repaired the AC\video connector, and now is working fine too ( with the help of this forum), it has a 10+ gb drive,
the G3 Wallstreet doesn't have any firewire or usb ports, is a basic stripped down laptop, and at this time bloated with a lot of stuff that I don't really need.

Here is my plan: Take the 10+ gb drive from the G3 wallstreet and install it on the G3 Prismo,
then take the 5+gb that I took out from the G3 Prismo and install it on the G3 Wallstreet.

Now the problem is that I don't know how to do a Clean install on Mac systems,

I've the 2 CD's of OSX Panther, and OSX 1 DVD Tiger,

I've been told that I've to first install the OSX Panther system and then the OSX Tiger on the G3 Prismo.

On the Wallstreet I intend to install the Mac OS 8.5 which I also have,
it seem from what I've read that it wouldn't be wise to install the OSX Panther on the G3 Wallstreet .
I need clear step by step instruction on how to do a Clean install, which key to press and what will I have to do for a successful install.
    Thx a billion...

It should be as simple as booting off the disc that is by having it in there and holding down the c key on the restart. Then go into disc utilities and select erase HD. Then the type of install that you want.

A clean install is easy, it's under options when you select the disk you want to install it on.

xPostFacto or something like that will allow you to install OS X on macs that weren't compatible with it.
