Operation systems XP Home and Pro.
Is there a way to prevent users from installing msn messenger other then giving users a limited account?
TIA

Not that I know of. You could try blocking all the sites that you can download msn msgr from, with a hosts file.

The best way that I'm aware of to is setup a limited type user account for both XP Home and XP Pro. However, you can still use webmessenger.msn.com without even installing the program.

Then you need to block that site with a hosts file. But windows messenger is part of XP, so they'll still have access to that.

Or, glue this note and pic on the monitors:You are being monitored and recorded by multiple cameras 24/7/365.
If you even attempt to install MSN Messenger you will be shot on sight.
