    trouble with battlefield 2 restarting my PC

    hey guys,
    i hope you can help me,
    i got BF2 for xmas and i've installed it fine today, (even though a few weeks ago i installed the demo and it did the same thing)

    but when i click on play BF2 (any icon or method) to load, i get a black screen
    monitor clicks (a flash of the desktop screen) then it restarts my machine. i'm baffeled as to what i can do to fix this? has any one had the same issue?

    heres what i've tried to do.
    installed with no patch - same result
    installed and patched - same result
    change desktop resoultion - same result
    over clockd my cpu - same result
    formatted and reinstalled xp - same result.
    uped my power supply voltage 5% - same result
    the v/c core temp is 56C
    changed hertz from 60 to 70 - same result.

    i have on the odd occasion say every 10-15 attempts of launching the game it will work, i register my details, then i find a server and click join server - same result

    i've turned off all virus scanners, anti spyware etc. - same result

    heres a code from an error report i get sometimes

    AMD ATH 2500+
    1G ram
    XFX 6600GT 128MB AGP
    8MB 80G WD HD (45G free)
    i have the latest drivers for my card and motherboard..
    480W antec tru power PSU ESI PRO S/C
    any ideas guys i'm getting deperate

    1.5Ghz Processor
    512mb RAM
    128mb Graphics card (needs 1.4 shaders)
