    Reinstalling IE

    Anyone know the correct way of uninstalling IE?

    I tried to uninstall it by removing it in add/remove components from control panel (add/remove programs)
    I downloaded IE from a site and it was a bit weird b/c it was asking me to install other programs as well which I kept declining then I had a virus on my computer that I picked up after the ie install.
    I removed the virus and im trying uninstall it again but im having a hard time unistalling.
    Right now IE doesen't work at all, when I hit the internet icon the IE properties comes up and I cant get a webpage.
    I tried uninstalling from the add/remove windows components and I tried running an installer (I downloaded IE 6.0 from the Microsoft website) which I should have done in the first place. Problem is, when I try running the installer it says it cannot continue b/c it detected a newer version already.

    Anyone know how I acn get this removed completely so I can still 6.0?
