More info please. What software do you try play DVd's with <PowerDvd>? Spec's man, spec's.
You could always simply try reloading the Dvd software.

If you are having problems with Media Player after installing codecs, first of all disable the codecs and see if the problem is corrected. To do this go to Control Panel>Multimedia. Click the Devices tab and look for the new codecs <video compression codecs>, highlight it and hit properties. Place a check in Do Not Map Through this device. Apply, Okay. Reboot. If the problem is solved, try downloading the codecs again.
If this does not correct the problem, try uninstalling the media player and loading the default that came with windows <ver6>. Reboot and try again.
If you are still having problems, look at the source you are aquiring the clips from. See if they have a version of the clip that runs on Realplayer and try using Realplayer Basic to view the clip <free from realplayer.com>. This should help figure out where the problem is.

Are you using MP8?I found this post elsewhere...."As you may or may not know DivX on windows media player 8 (winXP) plays upside down. The reason is unknown to me. But the fix is to install 4.11 codec and when it ask's do you want your old'r divx to use this codec. Tick yes."

I don't think your reading quite closely enough Luke. You have to turn the monitor upside down and then face it away from you. Go to the bathroom and get a mirror...
