    win 32 parite virus

    I am running windows XP. How do I get rid of this win 32/parite virus? its a pita. I ran house call and avg 6.0 and they did not fix it. Please help

    they have a virus cleaner for each known virus.

    I spelled parite wrong and I did not find it at www.symantec.com
    any more suggestions?

    did you go to search, and type in the virus name??

    did you edit the registry, and search there??

    i did not see that on on the symantec site.
    how do you know its in your system??
    it could be a scam that someone is passing around

    Here's the correct Symantec page. They call it W32.Pinfi.

    I am still not sure how to get rid of this virus. I dont have symantec or norton anti virus and AVG 6.0 wont fix it.

    Go here and download and run the removal tool.

    you may have to uninstall/reinstall your antivirus after running this

    PS- i have touted panda titanium in this forum for along time over norton (sucks) mcaffe and the rest....................
