Windows not reporting over 65MB of RAM

I tried to upgrade the memory on my ASUS P55T2P4 motherboard with two 32MB SIMMs. Each pair of my 8, 16 and 32MB SIMMs alone are recognized correctly as 16, 32, and 64MB respectivly using Windows "My Computer" Properties. The same is true for the pair of 8s combined with the pair of 16s (48MB total), but the 32s combined with either of the other pairs only show up as 65MB! All the memory is of the same type and speed. The OS/2 >64 setting in the BIOS is already disabled. Any ideas about how to get Windows (95a) to recognize the correct amount of RAM?

Does the Bios recognize more than 64mb during bootup before the 95 starts?
If so then you know it's a 95 revision a issue. Upgrade to rev b and you'll probably be ok.
    Good luck

Yes, BIOS does show the installed amount (currently 80MB). Thanks for the suggestion, but I shudder to think that an OS upgrade is the only way to get this to work. Is there any information that can be added to the boot files (autoexec.bat or config.sys, etc.) that might get the Windows to recognize the additional memory? Thanks!

Hi; ram is ram and simms are a little tricky.. parity and non parity won't work together so check that. Stick with the higher of the two. e.g. 64m set. let it run a while with the 64m set. Also check your board for ram jumpers. eg 66mhz to match your ram speed. Hope it helps. mach
