VLC PROBLEMS
Hello all;
I have a serious problem with VLC. I have been using VLC for many, many years. It had always worked great while searching for subtitles.
I have always needed subtitles because of hearing loss. For the past few months or maybe year, when I try to get VLC to do a subtitle search,
i get a "error 401" message. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared the registry, numerous times to no avail. Even when I go to a different PC,
I get the same results. Is there anything on the market that would be better than VLC? I use VLC for watching movies, TV series,etc.
Thanks much, for your time.

I found that if I run the file on Windows 11, it works just fine. Any other OS, it faults. So my guess is that MS is throwing a curve here. I tried it on several PC's.. Yes??

Possibly useful link:
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-v...authorized-200
An additional test would be to set up a Linux system or Virtual Machine, and install VLS there to test.

Thanks jdc, I am going to give it a whirl. I never used to have to join or create an account for anything, but times have changed.
