Unfortunately, no. My emails from a/c 2 all work as they should on the computer. But a/c 1, the error message. However, if i fire up the mobile phone and hit the GMail icon, my main address (a/c1) opens and I can read everything. I am then forwarding the mails I want to a/c 2 to get access on the computer.
As for resetting the password, seems to be stuck in a Google death spiral. it is not possible to open my a/c on the computer as resetting the p/w gives me 2SV options. The first is to get a verification on the phone. Sometimes that comes, other times, not at all. If I receive it and enter the number, next takes me to a 2SV screen (which I just did) So select the send to email option, which is useless as I assume the email is to the address that is not opening on the computer.
But using the computer, I can access a/c 2 and do manage to add a/c 1 account. However, a/c 2 is now listed as the default address; how can I change that to a/c 1? And all the options to change the p/w, are tending to take me in the loop mentioned above.
And to confuse things, I think I took a screenshot of the original app p/w, just have to find it. But I have now got two other app p/w in an attempt to get things working.
My felling is the OE6 with either app p/w is working fine, the issue is with the a/c 1 / password relationship within Google.
I think the issue arose a week ago, when for various reasons I needed to install Google Wallet on my phone. To access that, I needed create a password and my guess is that p/w has altered my access to GMail. And of course, that Wallet p/w is not the one I use for GMail.
As an aside, all the emails in a/c 1for the past few decades are still visible in Google when I can get there, so nothing has been lost. I can still create the mails within OE6, but unless I use a/c 2, the error message appears.
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'Rex', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
I have quadruple checked the port settings (995 and 465 as a/c 2; have also tried 995 and 587) but I don't beleive that is the problem.
Thanks
Thanks

To supply a further update.
Tap Yes, it's me on the phone option and nothing appears on the phone. Select my email for verification code and although that is the a/c that will not come to my computer, nothing appears. However, managed to get a code on the phone and entered it. Next, Google asks for another code to be entered, sent to my email a/c. this time get it but when entered on the computer, message says it is an incorrect number. It was not. Now of, course, too many attempts and am locked out for X time.
It' s like dancing in quicksand!

In order to get this resolved, we need to take OE6 completely out of the process to start, since you are not going to be able to access your user account 1 using OE6 until this is fixed.
What happens if you attempt to access your gmail user account 1 using a web browser? Try that method to get your password updated and working.
Another note:
If you are needing to supply an email address to get a password reset, you should never use the same email address. You need a separate email address from a different provider (Proton Mail, or some other email provider, etc.) to avoid the issue where you need your email to work to reset the password for that email.

Many thanks. Did find a few days ago that I need to create an alternative email address that is not Google. Have not done so yet.
Have managed to get into my a/c1 but only using the various 2FV (Yes, it's me and then a code to a/c2. Checked the passwords and for Google, it is not my original but set for the one I had to create a few days ago to open Google Wallet on my phone. That now appears to be the overall Google password.
But it cannot be set within OE6 as I need the AppPassword.

If you changed or updated the password for anything belonging to Google (email, Google Docs, pictures, etc.), remember that Google will likely update ALL of your Google passwords to the new password. That also likely means that you will need a new AppPassword.

Thanks; I did get a new AppPassword but it is not working. One aspect of the AppPassword, the instruction says to use the 16 letter p/w, but it is split into 4 x 4 blocks as given. But copying includes the spaces, which add three extra things to the list.
If I enter the p/w manually, do I include the spaces or not? Have tried both ways (spaces and no spaces) but still OE6 throws up the username p/w error message.
Does it confuse Google if I get yet another AppPassword?

Am really getting my knickers in a twist as to what I have tired and where exactly I am.
Can receive email from gmail a/c2 on my computer but not gmail a/c 1. However, can see all my a/c 1 mails on the phone without even logging on. On the phone, unable to add a/c 2 as with the password box informs that it is not correct.
On the computer, can open a/c 1 in Google with the 'Yes it's me' on the phone option; only need to click the filled in password box. But again, unable to add a/c 2 to the account due to a password issue.
Don't know what would happen if I rest the password? Would it mess up everything that is currently working?
An alternative is to restore from a previous working image of the o/s, but that is unlikely to affect any Google passwords. Another option which I am reluctant to try, in case it messes up the working bits, is to delete a/c 1 from OE6 and reenter all the info as a new account. But I can see Google telling me that my email address and password already exist!
My current and unwanted work-around is to access a/c 1 mails on my phone, delete the rubbish and forward to myself using a/c 2 which then arrives on the computer.
Not sure what to try next? renew the AppPassword?

You still need to answer my question that I asked previously:
What happens if you try to access your user account 1 gmail account WITHOUT using OE6, but just in a web browser? What error messages, if any, do you get? If you can get it working in a web browser for user account 1, then we might have a chance of getting your OE6 access working again.

Just tried with the password that was changed when I installed Google Wallet on the phone, and that has allowed me to access a/c1 on the computer.
Will try another AppPassword in the near future; too many other things going on at the moment to spend too much time fixing this. Am currently accessing a/c 1 on the phone and any messages that I want to keep, am forwarding to myself at a/c . Bit of a clunky work-around but until I get things working again on the computer, it is a temporary fix.

It make no sense whatsoever!!!!
Yesterday, as above, I reported that I could access my a/c1 with no problem using the Yes, It Is Me notification on my phone. Today, using the same method, absolutely nothing is coming to the phone. Tried 'Try Another Way' which suggests the phone setup/Google/Manage a/c (which is not on my phone) and then, Yes, it's me appears but is not registering on the computer. so cannot open my a/c1.
How did this ever become so complex?

How did this ever become so complex?
Simple. You are using Google's GMail, which is a high value target for various types of criminals, and is also a large corporation with no support services. So, GMail gets updated regularly with new "more secure" protocols, requiring new software and procedures, many of which are also complex and confusing, in order to access GMail. You are also using OE6, which has not been updated to handle anything new in decades. This can result in issues like what you are facing now.
