Win 10 Home - Upgrade to 11 failed
I finally went for the win 11 upgrade. I clicked download and install under Windows Update.
It reached 8% of the download, then suddenly changed its mind about the while idea. Then I saw 'You're up to date!' and the nag to go to 11 was gone.
There must be conditions for the upgrade to work so at first I thought the machine doesn't meet the conditions but I didn't think it would discover that until it was trying to install. How does this work?
Thanks - rev

You can try checking Event Viewer or the installation log files, but I'm not sure it would be that helpful.

Instead of doing the upgrade via Windows Update, you could download the installer iso and put it on a flash drive. This would wipe the flash drive, so don't use one that has data on it.
I would probably go with Win11 23H2. I've heard of issues with 24H2.

Windows 11 23H2 English (all editions) 64-bit – 6.24 GB. January 2025 update: We’ve replaced the original link with a mirror link of 23H2, so you can go back to 23H2 if you’re on 24H2 or newer.
