How can I get Windows to not want to save my pictures in OneDrive?

I already have it disabled but with any new picture there is no option to save it to pictures or a folder in pictures.

Thanks, I tried all three options with no luck.

Windows denied access to move the pictures folder, so I made a new folder in documents but it's the same thing trying to save a pic, wants to go to documents onedrive.

Downloaded the zip folder - option 3 - and can't get it to save to the desktop.

Well, think I got around this by making a folder on the desktop and manually moving picture folders - also tried saving a picture and that's where they go now.

Lots of effort and I'd just like pictures back like they were in Windows 10.

Just curious, but do you use OneDrive for anything else? You could uninstall it instead of disabling it.

No, I prefer not to use it.

If that's the case, you can uninstall OneDrive.

Thanks, I just might do that. Even thou onedrive is disabled it still sends me "Memories of this Day" - Is there any way to get your files back from onedrive?

If OneDrive has stolen some of your files, you may be able to get copies of them back if you can log in to OneDrive. If you can do that, I suggest that you copy all of your files to a folder and subfolders in a non-Microsoft location (not Documents, for example, but a separate folder that you created on the C: or other drive). Otherwise, OneDrive may just move them back the next time it syncs.

If, like it did on one of my work systems, it logged you in to OneDrive using credentials created by Microsoft, and moved all of your files to OneDrive, but it then does not allow you to log in since you were not supplied with the login credentials used, you may not have access to the files moved.

I made a new folder in Windows and moved files from one drive.

When I tried to delete more from one drive it would not let that happen. Gets really confusing - but at least I can log in to it.

So basically, I'm afraid to uninstall it as it may be holding onto something I might want later. Some of these files go back 20 years so it's hard to spot everything.
