Change in waking behavior
Asus laptop X515EA with 20 gigs of RAM running Win 10.
I press the spacebar to bring the machine out of sleep mode and until a couple of days ago, the response was instant. Now I can count off about 5 seconds before anything happens. In computer terms, that's a long time, so I uninstalled the most recent programs and when that didn't work I did a System Restore. No joy.
What could be the cause(s) where should I look first?
Thanks - rev

Try checking background apps. Open Task manager, go to the Startup tab and disable unnecessary programs. They may be causing your laptop to take longer to wake from sleep mode.

Does the laptop get shut down at night (end of day) and or rebooted from time to time?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Thanks! Yes, I reboot regularly. Two Startup items were enabled that weren't enabled before.
