    Repair Outlook

All of a sudden a dialog box keeps popping up saying Repair Outlook This will clear local settings and any unsaved Outlook data. Do you want to continue? I select no but the box keeps coming back. The only way to get rid of it temporarily is to reboot. I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 Outlook. I use Outlook to pull in my gmail only and in account setting for Outlook the type is IMAP/SMTP

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2019 MSO (Version 2410 Build 16.0.18129.20158) 64-bit and Windows 11 home version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.4430

Can someone help me get rid of the dialog box I do not want to clear or lose any data.

When I click on start, I see a bunch of icons. One is Office (Microsoft 365), and the icon is white. However, there is another icon, Outlook (new).
I thought maybe I needed an office update and it shows a Windows 11, version 24H2 is available and I can download and install which I did not.
Under Microsoft Office, it shows the activated product as Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019, but just below that, it shows that I have update options for Microsoft 365 and Office Updates.
I am a little confused as to what version of office I do have and where the Outlook New come from.

Saying YES to the repair will probably fix things....

Does it reference SCANPST.EXE for the repair? If not - what "does" the message say?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

    The dialog box only says
    Repair Outlook
This will clear local settings and any unsaved Outlook data. Do you want to continue?
My only choices are Yes or No

You could/should close Outlook and backup your PST files...

    The file file(s) are located-> C:\Users\Your User Name\Documents\Outlook Files

Once you've backed up - then you can run the repair option... I've used Outlook for YEARS and have had to repair it from time to time.

In the upper left of Outlook click on File-> HELP and you should see version information. Here is what my older version shows:

Yes that is like mine except Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019

I want to pass something by you that someone else stated. They seem to think that the dialog box was Microsoft sort of advertising to get you to buy the New Outlook and stated just to end task on the dialog box?

It's hard to say... The "Switch License" button almost looks like it thinks you have more than one version of Office installed.

The Switch License button is more likely a bait and switch button that will remove your already paid for Office version and put on a subscription version of Office that downloads updates multiple times a day which remove features that you were using and drains your wallet as well. I would not click on that button if I saw it on my screen.
