    Chromebook Choices

Acer Chromebook Vero 514 CBV514-1H-34X9 Laptop

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D2PFHYM8...9%2Fm412104%2F

    $315.00

I'm going on a trip/vacation for a couple of weeks and want to check on the sites I manage. This looks like it would do the job.... BUT - is it overkill?

I'm currently looking at Consumer Reports where I can get a ton of info rather quickly.

For mainly looking at forums and other light weight stuff, would one of the other ones at HALF the price get the job done?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks Guys.... Fink, it is funny how that works... It is even less (not by much) at Walmart.

JDC - I'll read through both of those.

Thanks.... But see the yellow dot that says Clearwater??? That's me.

If I don't get wiped out by Hurricane Milton - then my vacation will be on tract.

I'm leaning towards the Acer I posted above...14" screen and the backlite keyboard are helping... I just hate that the same machine is $15 less at Walmart.LOL

Well... I'm typing on my new Acer Chromebook. I picked up the one in my first post.

I ordered it one day and cancelled my trip the next day... Darn car is going to a repair shop this morning.. I sure won't drive it 2,500 miles round trip.

    New CB seem rather fast...

At least you've now got a decent backup computer. With a battery.

The car will probably cost more to fix than the Chromebook cost. I hope you get back in decent condition without too large an expense.

The car had a dollar and twenty five cent part wear out and break.... It caused the break lights to stay on 24/7 ... Got the part delivered from Amazon. I spent five hours and couldn't install it...

My new favorite mechanic in the world swapped it out in fifteen minutes. He only charged me 20 bucks.

It's a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe and is supposed to be the car I drive till the wheels fall off. Can't help but wonder how many more of these $1.25 parts I'll have issues with...

At least it was not an $1250.00 part.

The way auto designers work these days, it usually takes more $$$ to install the parts than the parts cost.
