Resolved [RESOLVED] Icon on desktop appears and can't be removed

.lock_9792 file shows up on desktop and can't be removed.
A file with 0 bytes called .lock_9792 appear on desktop, and can't be removed. It appeared when I went to check my NVIDIA Experience driver update, and it wanted to install a new update of the NVIDIA Experience to NVIDIA App. Did the App Update, and now this is file .Lock_9792 is stuck on my DESKTOP. Whats the dilly-o? https://ibb.co/hZQXnvr

Update - Notice after reboot the file name, the "numbers" changes every time. Only the .lock_# stats the same. Still don't understand why it keeps showing up on my desktop.
    Will update soon

This page suggests that it comes from a new "NVIDIA overlay" option in the Nvidia driver update. It can be turned off...

You're welcome. It seems that file is meant to be in the Nvidia folder so it wouldn't have been an annoyance in it's proper place. No idea why it turned up on some people's desktop. They may eventually fix that.
