HP Officejet 6700 will not link to my PC

My HP Officejet 6700 printer will not link to my HP PC via the new Hitron Model CODA4589 router that was just installed by Cogeco. I contacted Cogeco tech and after 1 1/2 hrs they gave up and told me to go to the HP site. After doing all that was recommended, still no link. I did a ?Wireless Network Test? and everything is ok with the exception that the ?Settings? indicates ?Filtering? failed. Would appreciate someone telling me what to do
