My HP laptop win 10 hard drive went defective this past week. . So i switched harddrives kept the old seperate , reinstalled new HD with win 11 os , now I’d like to transfer the desktop favourites and emails over to the new win 11.
Will this be a simple transfer??

What application etc have you been using to read and send email. Your thread title mentioned Outlook.

Is that Microsoft Office Outlook? If so - which version? Is it setup as POP3 or IMAP?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Yes it’s. Office 365 outlook and the emails are all pop3 .

Outlook stores all information in PST files.... Mine for example are:

    in data file C:\Users\Steve\...\Microsoft\Outlook\srjones01@gmail.com(3).pst

The short version is to get the PST file(s) to the new drive/safe location.... And then inside Outlook click on File-> Open -> IMPORT-> Import from another program or file. (this method assumes that Outlook is up and running)

Or...during setup of Outlook, you can point the setup to the PST files and it will continue to use it/them. (you'd want to copy the PST files to the C:\Users\Steve\...\Microsoft\Outlook location)

There are TONS of articles on doing this.....
