Hello,
That was just a very small portion of the actual full dock.
The actual dock is 167 pages long .

Was the original document 167 pages or close to that? That's a LOT of data esp if it's been corrupted. Out of curiosity have you tried opening that doc on other computers?

Good Morning ,
Yes it was 167 (give or take) pages long .
Yes I have tried to open it on other devices . All of which are mine , I’m beginning to think because the word program is registered to me on all devices and are synced , that it won’t open it , Just a thought …..
I should mention it has images in the document also , screenshot of various
work related images . I know it’s long and never really thought that it couldn’t be recovered if anything happened to it esp since I placed a copy of it in my email ( but that opens in that gibberish writing also . Geesh am I LOST without that doc , I have to keep trying to recover passwords and secret questions to recover passwords and it’s rough . I’ve certainly learned my lesson !
Thanks Fink ,
Night

So now we know you had a second copy of the doc in your email. That's important info since the copy would not likely be corrupted and there is/was no need to try and find a possible second deleted copy on the hard drive.
Have you tried opening it on a computer, Windows or iOS, that isn't registered to you? Perhaps others here will have more ideas at this point... I am not very familiar with iOS systems.

Hello,
Yes I have tried to open it on another iOS device but it was registered to me but with a different version of word , but not any other computers , or windows devices not registered to me …. Good Idea ! However if I’m lucky 🤞🏻And can open it on a say windows device , won’t it theoretically keep a copy of it on their computer also , as this doc is work sensitive ….

Not if you keep the doc on a thumb drive and open it from there for extra security. Once you close the word app then there would be no copy of it on the drive.

You could keep it on a drive like this for maximum security:
