In the SEARCH box - search for Windows Security

Tried running that virus detector , but it didnot find anything and I still have the problem. See my problem below, which I psoted on another thread but have not received any replys
I am posting this again as I really need help.

    I think I have a virus
When trying to run any .exe file , I see the install circle go round and round and the a popup "Its time to update your device" If I close the POPUP the circle going round and round stops. This first happened when i tried to install Acronis software to clone my Hard Drive to a SSD. I then tried various type of Anti Virus software with the same result. How do I get the AntiVirus software to install so I can get rid of the Virus. Iam running Win10 with the latest uodates on a HP Compaq nc6400
    Thanks for your help

Any .exe file..... Do you mean ANY and ALL exe files like Notepad for example? Or do you mean exe files that come with AntiVirus INSTALL files?

Did you Google-> Its time to update your device and read all the articles on how to fix that>?

My first guess would not be a virus. A virus would NOT want to cause any visible problems with a computer so it could remain undetected.

You could try running a number of different antivirus programs from a USB drive on the computer though just to be sure. I'd go with ESET or Bitdefender of the ones mentioned here:

    Don't believe everything you think.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.
    Check back regularly for responses.

It was not a virus. For some reason the Install apps only from MS store was checked. I changed it to Anyware and that popup is now gone and I can now install apps from Anyware.
I Googled-> Its time to update your device and read all the articles and thats where I found the FIX.
    Thanks all for your help.
