[RESOLVED] Update SIM Card
I'm getting messages from Consumer Cellular that I "NEED" to update my SIM Card.
I got my Galaxy S20 FE 5G from them...
Google searchs give me the impression that updating the card is common.
What are your thoughts?

There are suggestions on both sides that say replace or wait. Seems like the main reason for replacing would be to update it to newer protocols, replace a damaged card or if you're switching providers or phones.

I've replaced mine a couple of times but only because I got a new phone (and it was free anyway).
Don't believe everything you think.
VirtualDr email notices are not working.
Check back regularly for responses.

It looks like they may be switching actual service providers. If so, they should send you a new, free, SIM card. If you actually get one, make sure the packaging label does not say it came from Azerbaijan or Russia.

THAT'S Funny....
1. Which towers does Consumer Cellular use?
Consumer Cellular is powered by the AT&T and T-Mobile networks to provide wireless coverage at competitive prices.
Then I found this which sums things up.
2. Consumer Cellular is changing SIM cards because they are moving from AT&T’s network to T-Mobile’s network. This change is due to the merger between T-Mobile and Sprint. The new SIM cards will be compatible with both networks and will allow customers to take advantage of T-Mobile’s 5G network.

I got the new SIM installed... Wasn't as clear cut as I thought. They sent a new tool to pop out the card. Ended up using the original tool that came with the phone.
Had to setup Voice Mail... It wasn't any fun either. And I was forced to use a longer password.
