Two Identical HP Laptops Not Updated To Same Versions Of Windows 10
I have two identical HP laptops bought at the same time, same model, same identical spec. running Windows 10.
One has been updated to Windows 10, version 21H2 via Windows Update, but the other has only been updated to Windows 10, version 21H1 via Windows Update.
Can any one explain why this is so and how can I get the second one updated to version 21H2
Any advice, help and assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks

One possibility is if the one laptop has had the registry entry to prevent updates to new versions added.

Check for the keys. If present, you can change the string value to 21H2 and you will get the update.

Thanks for your reply.
Neither laptop had a registry entry to prevent updates to new versions added.
I will try to update to 21H2 using one of the methods in your other links'

I have done both Version Upgrades and Windows Updates many times. Here is how you will do it.
For Version Upgrades:
Download the exe file to create an ISO or whatever format you would like.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10
"Create Windows 10 installation media" It is the second blue button "Download Tool Now"
Run the tool and it will create the ISO.
Mount or burn the ISO and install it.
Usually when you do a Version Upgrade, it also has the latest Windows Update. This is a one time thing until a new version comes out.
Originally wanted Millenium Falcon as nick but there is character limitation.
Falcon Speed = Millenium Falcon = Light Speed

At long last Windows Update has updated the laptop to Windows 10, version 21H2.
Took a long time but both laptops are now up to date.

Thanks for the update. Yes, the update to 21H2 can take a long time to complete.
