    Last year I came to the site and it was defunct. What happened?

    The corporation that owned the site divested itself of this and some sister forums by selling them to another company that for some reason just shut them down rather than set them up and continue running. Then another company, the one that owns it now, bought them up and reactivated them. So thanks to https://technologyadvice.com here we are.
