Recommendation for a Slim Rechargeable Mouse

This is not for gaming.

Tried one that cost about $15, it lasted two months.

I like the slim and rechargeable kind, seems the prices go from quite low then jump to a few hundred.

Wish I could answer that. No brand name on it, just says 2.4 g wireless - China.
Contacted the seller and it had a 30 day "guarantee".

So, cheap Chinese junk made in a back alley noodle shop and mouse fabrication facility in Wuhan.

The review links should have something worthwhile that does not cost a fortune.

I use a number of different mice for different purposes. All are wireless. I have an earlier version of the Logitech Anywhere mouse that's in jdc2000's top link that isn't rechargeable but I use rechargeable batteries in it. I use it with my laptop and tablet when I'm not home and so far it has lasted 6 years replacing and recharging the batteries every few weeks when I use it regularly/daily. The thing to consider though is that the version with rechargeable batteries built in can't have the batteries replaced so that limits it's life because rechargeable batteries don't last forever. Once they stop keeping a charge the mouse is pretty much useless even though the components of the mouse itself are just fine.

I'd consider buying a mouse and using removable rechargeable batteries so you can replace the batteries when you need to.

fink has an excellent point. I am now using Photolady's favorite Panasonic Eneloop batteries in most things. They are rechargeable, hold a charge much longer than alkaline batteries, and do not leak and corrode whatever they are in when they run out of juice.

What do you mean by "slim"? Do you mean low-profile?

I don't own one, but I've seen the Logitech Pebble M350. It's pretty low.

They are advertised as "slim", only about an inch high but a little longer than the standard kind.

It still charges but is dragging trying to get around the screen. Uninstalled it, checked settings, don't know how else to fix it. Just gets too annoying trying to use it.

Have you tried giving the optical sensor a good cleaning? Blow it out and brush it with a fine, clean, soft brush? Sometimes just one tiny hard to see hair across the aperture can screw up the mouse sensors.

Yes, I tried canned air and even a tiny little vacuum on it. Thanks.

Most of the ones in the links are for gamers, I think. I'm also trying to avoid replacing batteries all the time. Maybe a wired one would be better for me.

I prefer a wired keyboard and a wired mouse. In addition to replacing or recharging batteries, I have had some wireless input devices introduce an unwanted lag in sending keystrokes or movements or button clicks to the computer.
