How does this look so far as my next build or would you change anything?
CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K 3.7 GHz 10-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z690-A GAMING WIFI D4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory
Case: be quiet! Dark Base 700 ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair HX Platinum 1000 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
I haven't decided on a vid card yet until the prices of silicon drop I will remain with my RTX 2080. I had questionable thoughts on the case vs. Mobo too.

That looks OK to me. The CPU cooler should fit if you are not using the top radiators. At least you should be able to get some DDR4 memory. I have not yet been able to find any DDR5 memory for my Alder Lake PC at a decent price.

I decided to change cpu's on it to the i9-12900K. I know it's a big price jump but why not be ready for what's to come.

That CPU will draw more power, like another 100 watts at maximum. Might want to upgrade the PSU also.

Yeah I was thinking that too, due to whatever card I choose will still draw a decent amount of power as well.
