Acer Chrome won't boot
The machine is about to be trashed and I was asked if I could do anything to revive it. I believe it has a mac OS on it at the moment. Could I boot from an iso made by Rufus and put Windows on it?
Thanks - rev

Post the actual model number of that ASUS machine. If it is an Acer Chromebook, it may be possible to install Windows 10 on it. I doubt that it has MacOS on it now unless someone managed to turn it into a Hackintosh.

No chance of a hackintosh, owner knows nothing. It's only got a Chrome logo and the word Chrome on it (not Chromebook) I can't find any other possible model name. It's skinny and has a 10 - 12" screen, depending on how you measure, across diagonal corners 12". A very distorted splash screen appears, no text, so it looks like wallpaper but I can't tell what the picture is. I don't think it has the memory needed for win 10 so I'll see what happens when I try Win 7, then probably trash it.

That's a Chromebook. There should have been a sticker on the bottom with the model number.
Why do you think there is Mac OS on it if it's not a hackintosh?
You'll probably have a hard time getting any Windows running on it. The disk storage is usually pretty small (32GB).

That's what the owner told me, but he knows nothing

Thanks, I may just save myself the effort.
