[RESOLVED] Right clicking drives results in 'not responding'
The curious part is I was right clicking drives to remove indexing last night. It took a long time on some drives so I planned to continue this morning. So what happened between last thing last session and first thing this session? I'd removed indexing, but you should be able to do that and still see the contents of a drive.
I'm wading through web solutions but what a dog this OS is! (gratuitous whine)
Any suggestions?
Thanks - rev

Was the computer shut down or left on last night?
And or have you rebooted since the issue started?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

I just got it working, here's what I did:
Regedit > Current User > Software > Classes > Local Settings > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Shell > and deleted BagMRU and Bags and rebooted. That was per an internet suggestion and I have no idea what it was all about but it worked.

BTW: Those deleted keys reappeared after rebooting, that suggests they're necessary keys but they contained (I didn't look) a setting that wasn't right.
