Opinions on buying a new PC..

What do we think of this? I would be using it for every day browsing & email, watching music/news/movie videos, low end graphics editing (not w/ Photoshop or anything high end like that.. just Paint or The Gimp)

I'd be adding a storage drive and maybe eventually a low profile graphics card but I don't do any gaming at all so that's not high on my list. The factory power supply is 300 watts as far as I can see from my research.. I'd like higher but it doesn't look like it's replaceable.

I've priced out a number of build-my-own options which I've always done in the past but they're all considerably more expensive than I can afford right now.

I am concerned that it comes with a 512GB PCIe SSD rather than a standard 2.5" SATA SSD drive although none of my research suggests this could be a problem.

    TIA

I quit building my own decades ago. LOL

I bought a refurb Dell with an I5 for $299 back in December...from Micro Center... Really nice machine.

That is not exactly inexpensive. You could probably build your own for less. The specs are OK.

    Another option:

Once you add on the exchange rate from Canadian to US dollars those are even more expensive

Also looking at the i3 or i5 here...

It's a local shop I've dealt with in the past. But I have to wait until our lockdown is lifted so I can go in person and talk to the guy to get more details and maybe haggle a bit. His English isn't very good and talking on the phone would be impossible. The descriptions on that page seem to be inconsistent as well.

Also want to be sure I get Win 10 pro rather than home so I can control updates better.
