    Resolved [RESOLVED] downloads folder

    hi,
my download folder is in ... file... top left as
a kind of default whereas I d rather it was in
.... Home ... as that is where all the tools are... move files rename files etc

is there any way to make Home the default ?

thanks for help or comment ....

Are you asking about the default downloads folder in your browser? What browser are you using? You should be able to set any default folder you want.

no , its nothing to do with the browser its the downloads folder

at top left it says .. file... home ... share.... view
    by default Im on file

if I hit ..... home ..... the page changes and I have a ton of options... move copy paste delete etc ...

if the page came up default onto Home I would have all these options and would nt have to keep hitting home to get there

just wondering can I change the default to home ?

    thanks for help or comment

If you mean Downloads in Windows Explorer navigation pane, then try this:
    https://www.howtogeek.com/273618/how...download-path/

The Home button just expands the ribbon options. If you want the ribbon to be expanded by default, look at this link:

As Midkynte said, you can expand the ribbon. You are not on file per se. You aren't on anything though file will appear blue.

As you see highlighted in this picture, click the arrow in the top right to toggle the full menu with the hidden view.

ITS not ...downloads ... that Im worried about, I just named downloads as my main part of.... windows explorer... its where most of my pics, movies pdfs etc are

from what I can figure out windows explorer shows everything on your computor... files, jpegs movies etc

top left on any windows explorer is ... file .... home .... share.... view

hit ... home and there are a lot of tools on there... move files... delete files etc

my explorer by default opens on ... File.... I m just asking is there any way to

change this so it opens on.... Home ... by default ? so those tools are ready to hand

Silverstar did you look at the image? I know the site made it super tiny, but it was exactly what you needed regardless of which folder you were in. From your post, it sounds like you finally figured that out. Hope that's what you needed.
