Win 10 PC Won't Boot From Hard Drive or CD Drive
Hello, I can't get my Dell Optiplex 755 to boot up from HD or CD drives. I don't get any start up screens either. When I hit F12 to change the boot sequence, I just get beeps, but make no real progress. Could the Master Boot Record be corrupted? This system has 2GB or ram and 250 GB HD.
Any help would be appreciate.

Do you get any display or error messages at all? If so, what do you see?
If not, but you do get some beep codes, which one(s) do you get?

That is an old system, so it is likely some sort of hardware failure.

What is the history? Did something change? Was it working one day and just quit?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Possible hardware problem
Unfortunately the beeping was a result of me pressing F12 and not a system code. I expect that you are probably right that it is a hardware problem, possibly the hard drive. Thanks for your input

I tried installing XP Pro over Win 10 and I got a blue screen but unfortunately did not write the code down because I thought the system did not like XP for some reason. When I tried to restart, I ran into problems. I tried a recovery USB, Win 10 CD and XP again, hoping that it might work. No luck. I will try removing the hard drive and replacing with another. We'll see. Thanks for your input.
