    Resolved [RESOLVED] Copying a file

    What ho one and all,

Don't know if this is W7, my computer or something else.

As the attached, copying a 1.4gb file from the hdd to a thumbdrive. to get to the point shown ins attachment take around 30 seconds, then the next '5 seconds' last for close to 2 minutes.

With my previous copy of XP, the progress bar just gradually progressed until the job was done.

So what is happening with W7 that it gets 'stuck' on 5 seconds remaining for around 120 seconds?

Or is it just one of the annoying MS improvements that I will have to tolerate?

    Toodle pip

I can't remember the last time I used XP but pretty much any large file transfer I do on Win 7 is as you describe... not an even progression and it will stick at random counts for a while even though I can see there's drive activity going on.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.

Thanks. Interesting to know that it is not me to blame.

    Another niggle solved.
