Intel WiDi adapter. To allow me to WiFI cast

My laptop, a Dell Latitude E6400 with Win10 installed does not seem to have WiDi installed on it. Is there any way that I can install this adapter on my laptop to allow me to wirelessly cast my laptop onto my LG smart tv.

My laptop is only about 2 years old. The intel label only says Intel CORE i7 vPro, but no WiDI can be seen any where. Can I replace the Intel Processor that has WiDi built in or would it be cheaper to just replace the Laptop. How woulf I be sure thet the new laptop has a processor that has WiDi built in. Any recommendations?/

If it has no WiDi sticker, then it probably does not support WiDi. A processor upgrade might be problematic, see the links below:

Note that in one of the links I posted previously, it mentions that Intel is no longer supporting their WiDi software. While you may be able to find a new Dell laptop that can support it, it may not be the best solution for wireless screen usage.

I was not able to find any current Dell laptops that specifically listed WiDi capability, you may have to contact Dell to find one.

If you check the last 4 links I posted in post #2, there are several wireless ways to project your laptop screen.

I just purchased a Nyruus NPCS549 WIRELESS ADAPTER from Amazon for $199, received it overnight, installed it in less than 5mins. It works like a charm, fantastic. I will recommend it.

Looks like it has decent ratings, and not too expensive.
