    Resolved [RESOLVED] E-mail

And so to my next 'flogging a dead horse' question!!

Through a lot of trial and error, trying various free e-mail programs and not liking the UI or all the bells and whistles, I found a 'fixed' version of OE6 that amazingly, has installed into W7 and is working as intended.

To date, I have around 10 mails in the Inbox that I would like to keep.

In my XP install, I have around 70 mails in the Inbox plus a pile of other folders. I figure that I can copy and paste from the XP location to the default W7 / OE6 location and have everything available.

But what happens with the old Inbox and the new Inbox? I assume the paste will overwrite the contents of the new Inbox, and I would like to keep them. Apart from saving as *.eml files, is there a way to merge the two?

    Thanks and toodle pip

If all else fails you can forward those ten emails back to yourself and leave them on the server until after you've completed the migration of the other emails.. then download them.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.
    Check back regularly for responses.

Thanks for the replies. Managed to sort it out although sending to myself and keeping on the server is a good idea.

Created a new folder and moved the new Inbox mails to it. Imported the old Inbox.dbx folder and then moved the new ones backs. Call it a Covid vaccine related Homer moment!
