Problem with MSVCR100.
In downloading a Youtube video, I get this error message
regarding MSVCR100. In searching the web.I found a program called RESTORO that would clean up the problem. It seemed to find all kinds of stuff, but won't fix anything till I pay for the product which is not cheap.
My question is : is there a cheaper way to go.? Thanks.....

You should remove Restoro first. Scan your system with Malwarebytes and see if that removes it.

How are you downloading Youtube videos?
MSVCR100 usually refers to Visual C++, but does the error message say which version?

If you are actually downloading (rather than just viewing) a YouTube video, what software are you using for that?

Thanks for the info. I was using a youtube converter called: mp3studio . The message actually states a system error. from youtube -dll.exe. It says: "The program can't start because MSCVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem" BTW, this computer is running Windows 7.
I uninstalled Restoro & will run Malware bytes. However, if the file is missing, maybe I need a different approach?? Thanks again............

Is it MSCVCR100.dll or MSVCR100.dll? MSVCR100.dll is part of Visual C++ Runtime, so that needs to be installed. However, there are several versions.

You could also try the Visual C++ Runtime Installer (All-In-One), if you don't know exactly which version you need.
