Connecting Laptop to Smart TV, using HDMI Cable.

My Laptop in not Miracast capable. I had to connect my laptop to my TV using a HDMI cable. I then pressed Windows + P and got the project screen with the Options. When I pressed

    PC screen only
I could see PC desktop on my PC and a blank screen on my TV

    Duplicate Screen
I could see a reduced size desktop on my PC and NO signal on my TV

    Extended
I could see a full size desktop on my PC and a desktop with no Icons or toolbars on my TV

    Second screen only.
I could see Blank screen on PC and full desktop with icons and toolbars on my TV

How could I get a full desktop on my Laptop and a full desktop on my TV.

Also is there any equipment I could buy to make my Laptop Miracast cable. I have a Miracast dongle.

    Thank You.

What OS are you running? For Win10:

I'm guessing you want to use "Extended" Desktop? AFAIK, you can't do that with Miracast. It only does screen mirroring.
