    Admin accounts, etc

    And here we go again!

Don't like the os having control over what I am allowed to do, and the various admin accounts is one of those locks.

I understand from an office pov, but when it is only myself, and I kinda know what I am doing!!!!!

Under the W7 Control Panel, there is only myself (Rex) listed as the admin and user.

But when attempting to open W7 D&S folders, I am locked out. Properties/Security brings up usually a couple of entries, but hit Advanced and the screenshot is what I have.

What are all these entries and where have they originated? Why are there duplicates, with both Denied and Allowed? Why is it so complex?

Which brings up the next question, I am unable to upload a file for this question as i don't knowhow to delete files from the VirtualDr upload box!!! Help!!!

As I mentioned in your other thread, D&S was replaced by the "Users" folder. D&S is a junction point, not a real folder.

I didn't know that so thanks. I have now managed to delete some old attachments, so this is what I mean. does that mean I can 'delete' the D&S folder in W7?

Where did all these 'people' come from when it is only me using the computer? What is the difference between all the simialr titles?

    Which ones can I delete?

Those are not users, they are user groups. If it were my system, I would not be messing with them. While you may be able to remove some of them, you may find that you lose access or functionality, unless you actually want to delete the Documents and Settings folder, which, again, would not be recommended.

NO. Again, it is a junction point. Do not delete it.

I don't see any extra user groups. Those are the defaults.
