Or, try Malwarebytes. If that does not work, let us know.

I am using MBAM premium 4.3.0 and it has never detected it. It has been on my computer for a long time. I have no idea when this was infected. It may have been a year or two ago.

Norton Power Eraser may work. If not, other instructions can be found at the links below:

NPE removed some things???? 2 registries and Core-ftp a little program I used to use years ago. The first thing I tried was the Control Panel uninstall. Pc-cleaner does not appear in the list. I cannot find it in programs using the Start button. It is deeply hidden somewhere.

It might be time to follow the instructions for creating a thread in the Intensive Care Unit for removing PC Cleaner.

    https://discussions.virtualdr.com/sh...ted-3-21-2015)

You can post the logs here and we can move this thread to the Intensive Care Unit forum.

I just found this on my computer. Tried to remove it but I think something is still left. https://www.ccleaner.com/knowledge/ccleaner-v5647613

Found these in my downloads...ccsetup565.exe and ccsetup567.exe in March & June of 2020. Not something I knowingly downloaded. am removing.

    I think it's possible we have a mis-identification here.

ccsetup565.exe and ccsetup567.exe are both install exe's for Ccleaner which is a totally safe and known program... it also does occasionally give popups to buy the pro version rather than the free one which I and many others have installed.

Your original post/thread title may have a spelling error.. Clleaner or Ccleaner?

VirtualDr email notices are not working.

If you still get popups, post a screen capture so we can see what you are seeing.

Okay...thanks so much for all your help. Also...on a different deal. I just downloaded the new SeaMonkey 2.53.5.1 and it says this is the user agent.
    SeaMonkey 2.53.3; Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0
Sometime back, someone walked me through making this my UA. Should I just leave it at that?
