    How to extend 5e cable?

I have this dillema and maybe some here can give me some ideas

I have cat 5e plug in the garage, it's connected to my router upstairs. I need to connect room in the the house that is behind the garage wall on the opposite side of gararge to where the plug is. What is the cleanest way to extend the cable in to the room?

    I think you're talking about a coupler.

You can look on Amazon for "cat5e coupler".

I use one of these made by Neutrik. Very high quality and made of metal for durability. A bit more expensive but worth it.

While coupler will work i am trying to find more visual pleasing way of doing it. I obviously will need to drill a hole through the garage wall and i will place plate cover on the other side, but how do i cover the hole in the garage?

I suppose you could just buy 2 RJ45 wall jacks with plates and then connect them through the wall. That's way more work, though.
