45,000 disk errors but they are the retries
That sounds like a problem with one of the drives. Are they all on the same drive? What is the exact error code?

If the disk had a problem it wouldn't work on Windows 7 but I've just copied another TB on a win 7 machine without a single error.

Another TB just finished since the above message - not a single error.

Win 10 has technologies looking at disks that weren't there before. It knows instantly if there's chkdsk problem, this semaphore thing is completely new to me because I don't think disks used a semaphore for synchronizing in the past. And I'm sure of my disks, I use them often and over time I've replaced any movie file that had crappy header information or was temperamental in any way. Movies are files that don't grow so they can be played and return to their original location, years later the disk will not be fragmented.

I have only found one article so far that discusses semaphore and copying files, all the others are about networking. That makes me wonder if the error message is even true.

I posted some links about the semaphore error earlier. That's why I said to reinstall the USB Controllers.

Another thing you could try is a copying utility like Teracopy.
