Problem with Hotnmail
For some reason my Hotmail account won't open some gifs, jpegs or stuff that is forwarded to me if it contains pictures.
How can I fix that?
Thanks.

1. It won't open "SOME" or ANY?
2. Am guessing you are reading mail online via web browser?
3. WHich web browser are you using?
4. Can you save the files to your desktop and open them?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

How are you accessing your Hotmail account? Are you using an email client program like Outlook or Thunderbird, or are you accessing it through a web browser like Google Chrome or Firefox or Microsoft Edge?
If you are using a web browser, try using a different browser.
Also, what happens when you view an email that contains one of these images? Do you just get an "X" placeholder, or do you get an image, but on e that you can't right-click on and select Save As?

What happens when you right-click on one of the images? You should get a popup menu with available options to select.

A possible workaround for now:

Another option is to use an email client program like Outlook or Thunderbird to download your email.

I get a long list of options but nothing worked.
Fwd: The tenacity of trees - beautiful and awe inspiring!
This is what I received. My wife got it on Gmail and could see everything in the message.

When you right-click on the image, one of the popup menu options that you should get is Save As. If you do not get that option, or you do get it but it does not work, then you may have try one of the methods listed below. You could try using Internet Explorer to read the email messages, to see if that allows you to save the images.
This seems to be an issue for some Hotmail / Outlook online users. The link I posted above shows how to save the entire email to a folder on your computer, then you can extract the images. Other potential solutions include using an email client program to read the emails, and forwarding the email to a different email address that is not a Hotmail or Outlook.com or other Microsoft address or email account.

Thanks guys. I guess the best thing to do is just use another email program. However, it is not that important so if
I can't see it or open it , it will just be deleted. Thanks anyway.
