Thinkpad CMOS battery
What ho one and all,
I have an IBM Thinkpad T22 with W2k (don't laugh!!!) Rarely used, but needed to use it recently to read some car data from the car's ECU.
Inevitably, the CMOS battery is virtually dead. I know it can be replaced but being a cheap-skate, I already have a CR2032 as a regular, button cell with no attached wires.
Is it possible to remove the dead battery and solder the new one to the existing plug?
Thanks and toodle pip
